When you have a small repair job, you won’t need to go to your toolbox in the garage—creep around three sides of the minivan, climb over (or step atop) the Shop-Vac, untangle the garden-hose and hang it on the wall like you were supposed to do last autumn, and search through the toolbox that you meant to organize last summer. This multi-tool is waiting in the drawer in the kitchen among the ladle, serving spoon, electric knife (that you’ve never used), the cheese grater, bread knife, measuring spoons, the leaky turkey baster (that really should be retired), and who knows what other stuff you seldom look at. It’s as clean as the other implements in the drawer, and it’s able to help with whatever is broken, crooked, protruding, dismantled, loose, leaking, squeaking, falling off its hinges or needs to be hung.
